The Department of Homeland Security’s has created an interesting open data collection via its Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data (HIFLD) portal. We found a database there of all mobile home parks in the US, and filtered that down by size to show those communities with 100+ mobile homes. We then used the US Census Bureau’s American FactFinder to find the percentage of the population of Kansas who identified as single in the 2014 American Community Survey.
Why Kansas? No reason other then it’s the locale most of us here think of when we think of mobile homes. Why singles? We’re always looking for a party.
