When using one of the two GeoCoding options (Street Address or Latitude/Longitude) and the Custom Area geographies, the user must select a Initial Metric for the FactLook wizard to generate a map. Selecting “None” from the dropdown of choices is not currently supported.

As a work-around, users should create an extra column in their spreadsheet with a sample metric in each cell (1, 2, 3, 4 … for example.) Use this sample metric as the Initial Metric during the data-header pairing process.
